Vintage Photo Scan offers high-quality, affordable video/audio transfers, pictures/slides/film digitization, professional DVD/CD duplication, and video/audio editing to save, revive, and preserve your precious memories. We offer all of the services national providers do, but locally.
Vintage Photo Scan (VPS) was launched in 2016 by Fred and Sam Nace, alongside its established sister organization, The Cheerful Word (TCW). VPS was established with the purpose of digitizing the photos, slides, and videos TCW customers were including in their memoirs. It became quickly apparent that the digitization services VPS offered were (and are) widely desired, not only in their small community, but across the country.
VPS digitizes most all forms of analog media - photos, slides, negatives, home videos (VHS, 8mm cassettes, Super8, Hi8, 8mm reels), scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, audio recordings (cassette tapes, CDs, vinyl albums, mini/micro cassettes). Customers may submit their project requests via the VPS website, or in-person, and can either physically drop their memorabilia by the studio for digitizing, or mail it to us.
With an investment in very limited social media/word of mouth marketing, amateur search engine optimization, the business grew within 6 months so that it became impossible for one person to keep up with the workload part time. In late 2020, despite the disruption the pandemic caused, VPS grew, and we decided to hire a full time employee to take over the bulk of the workload, functioning as a digitizing technician and managing social media. With the scarcity of local competing businesses in the digitization market, VPS is poised to grow exponentially – not only locally, but also regionally.
